Finally, the prospects of the future for internet marketing is another thing driving its constant increase as the prospects are looking a lot better than they did during the first dot com boom. The future is bright because of the increasing numbers of people using the internet every day and it is bright because of the fact that more and more companies are getting involved. With both supply and demand growing with each passing day, the second dot com boom has a much healthier economy and that news in and of itself is enough to spur more investment into internet marketing.

Starting a business is the beginning of a journey. You have a destination and a way of travel. You have a travel agent and you will have to deal with people along the way. There may even be obstacles to overcome such as detours because of accidents or bridges that are out. Would you begin a journey like this without a map? A map for a business journey is called a business plan. A business plan is the most important step in starting your own business. You must have a plan in mind and on paper to get loans any type of investing support.
Introduction
Your first page will be a cover page that will have the name of your business and the names and addresses of all the people involved. The second page will be the introduction. You will explain in a few simple sentences what your business does and relate any of it's accomplishments. Write any information that will capture the imagination of the reader so that he will read on! Also it could be good to let the reader know what is needed from him.
Product or Service
Describe in detail your product. Is it one of kind? Is your way of marketing it unique? Is your location the best? If any of these are true of your business now is the time to express it. A simple drawing or a couple of pictures may enhance this page.
Customers/Marketing
You will not be able to travel without customers. They will provide fuel for the trip. So who are the customers in your business??? How many are there and how will you find them? The more data and statistics that you have to show that you really know your customers, the more credibility you will have.
On the marketing side be specific about how much money you will spend to get them to give you their hard earned money for your product. What is your marketing strategy?

On this page you will build confidence in your reader. What obstacles do you envision? What have you done to prepare for them?

It is one thing for the plan to call to make a set dollar amount of sales every month, but if it does not specify how it will make that goal, the plan will fail. There is an old business saying that states failing to plan is planning to fail and in any business this is true. However, if the business owner cannot say on a daily basis where they are at in meeting that goal, they will not reach it.
For example, if the plan calls for $10,000 a month in sales and on the 15th of the month sales are only at $3,000 chances are they will miss their goal by $4,000 for the month. On the 15th it is too late to make up the other $4,000 for the month. Tracking the progress on a daily basis will make it easier to hit the numbers over the 30-day period. Knowing they have to do $340 in sales every day to hit the $10,000 mark if at the end of day one they are at $300, they have to take steps to add another $40 to the next day's business.
If sales exceed their expectation they cannot slack off and allow the extra on day one to cover any potential short fall on day two or three. They must still aim at the daily goal in order to insure they meet their planned monthly numbers. If they happen to go over the monthly goal for sales, they just need to remember that profit is not a dirty word.
On the flip side, while projecting daily sales they also must project daily expenses. For instance if they plan on expenses to be 30 percent of sales and sales meet the $340 per day, they can spend $102 on expenses. If sales for the day only hit $200, they are going to have to trim expenses to $60 in order to hit their planned profit numbers. In some businesses, expenses may have to be tracked by the hour to meet the goal for the day as waiting until the end of the day to find out the expenses exceeded the goal, meaning expenses from the next day will have to be cut.
With any new business, it may be difficult to forecast income and expenses on a daily basis, especially when the environment such as bad weather or supplier issues can influence the daily business. A person planning to open a hot dog shop, for example, may have 20 years of experience in management but has never worked in food service, has little to offer the investor in the way of an incentive to think they may succeed. On the other hand, if they worked for another hot dog shop for 10 years and have five years in food service management, they will feel better about the chances of success.
Regulatory compliance is another hot issue for many investors as they do not want to see the business closed down for violating state or federal laws. The business owner, or a representative, must be knowledgeable about the laws governing the particular business and have inspection steps in place to insure compliance with all rules and regulations. Training of current and future employees is another issue for some investors, making sure the company's representatives can responsibly serve the needs of potential customers.
Investors will also look for marketing research, indicating there is a need for the product or service the business will provide and that it is large enough to offer sustainability. Single-sales business rarely survive for long and business that promise repeat sales to the same customer are often given more consideration for funding.

There is one commodity that nearly everyone runs out of and that is time. For some reason when someone opens a home business they believe that suddenly their days will have more hours in them than they did when they worked for someone else. Unfortunately, it doesn't take long for them to realize that there are not only the same number of hours in a day, but those hours may seem like they have fewer minutes in them.

Many tools are available to help people manage their time, but they have to take the initial step in getting started before they can make better use of the time they have. Too many people have a calendar for their work and a separate calendar for their family life. With the two so closely connected, they only need one calendar. It does not matter what brand is considered the best or the most expensive. The only thing that matters is that you get a planner with a calendar and use it regularly.
Before you fill out the calendar you will need to make sure you have your priorities in order. Every day, new priorities will pop up based on emergencies and customer demands. One thing to consider is that when a customer emergency comes up and is direct conflict with a scheduled family event, you will have to decide on where your priorities are on that specific date and time. If you have a helper who can take care of the customer issue, without conflicting with their family calendar, that's a plus. If not, the customer may have to wait until you get done.
Setting daily priorities should always begin with a block of time being set aside as contingency time. That is time set aside to handle unexpected issues and can be as little as 15 minutes. If nothing happens, you have an extra 15 minutes unclaimed at the end of the day. If it does, you have time to handle it without throwing the schedule complete out of whack.
Possibly the best thing you can do to better manage your time is to establish a minimum of 10 minutes every morning to review what you have to do that day and reprioritize any items that did not get done from yesterday's list. This daily planning session can be the first thing you do when you get to your office or done with your first cup of coffee. The bottom line is you need to get into the habit to review your daily plans and then stick to the plan throughout the day.

It is a good idea to have at least 100 keywords for a website before you formulate your plan of attack and going through this process will ensure that you probably end up with a lot more.

All of this is very difficult to master but easy to learn the basics of, so if you are putting together a website learning the basics of search engine optimization is a very good idea.

You might still have to go to the office occasionally for meetings or to do other things, but if you talk to your boss you might find out that you are able to do what you are doing in a much more easy way. The other thing that you could do if your boss is not happy with you working form home is to look for another employer that will employ you to do what you are doing now, except will allow you to do it from home. This is something that is also possible for you because it will end up being very easy for you to find a job where you are working from home.
